Hello ladies!
well, as you all definitely know by now, I'm HOME!
People keep asking me "What was first year like?" "are you glad to be home?" "must be nice to relax eh?"
and I'm afraid my answer is currently sitting at "I don't know".
Nothing has sunk in yet. I'm done? what does that mean?
Being home? I haven't been much to be honest. (volunteering, working, visiting people etc.)
Relaxing? see above.
I suppose in some ways it's amazing to be home. A nice comfy bed. A kitchen where I can make my own food. Being soooo close to Dina (when she's here), Michele, Malcolm, and Valerie (soon!).
My family is awesome, if completly insane.
But I also had a really really great year. I met some absolutely astounding people. I learned a lot. I thought about a lot of things. It was a very important and meaningful year.
I miss all my friends from rez but, like when I leave you behind, I KNOW I will see everyone again.
I'm fairly good at that sort of thing, missing people but staying friends across time and space. I don't mean to brag, it's just the truth. I guess since I've been doing it for so long.
Anyways it's Easter weekend and boy is it full of stuff!
Yesterday I was over at Malcolm's and I met his grandmother. She's a really nice lady and gave me a huge hug, I guess they told her a bit about me :P ALSO it is spring time and Malcolm decided that to help "cure" me of my fear of cows he would take me to see the calves and guess what?? They were actually cute!!!
I also explored his barn (which sounds like a euphemism but isn't) which was lots of fun!
and I learned how to play portal. ME! playing a VIDEO GAME! and ENJOYING IT! and being kind of GOOD AT IT!
There will be epicness tonight and then tomorrow is Easter dinner and then Monday Valerie will be home and oh my goodness.
*breathes*
anyways I'm just going off on a rant here. I figured I should probably post since it's been a while.
Dina, Michele and Andre I'll see you tonight! (excited!)
Valerie, I'll see you on Monday.
Happy Easter!
I WANT TO BE HOME!!!! GAHHHH!!!
ReplyDeleteAhem... I am glad the Ginger is working on your fear of cows! Calves are adorable from what little I have see of them.
We need to plan something for Monday night so I can have that light at the end of the tunnel... I don't care what we do, so long as we are all in the same place at the same time. Feed me coolers, watch cheesy movies, whatever!! (yes, this does show how much I am done with this...)
This is a great post. So much Dawn contained in a few words.
ReplyDeleteLadies, I think it might be nice to take advantage of Valerie's "do anything" attitude while it exists. Any ideas?
You have about 24 hours of that attitude left... Sooo close, sooo far...
ReplyDeleteOh my god I just realized the cute bunnies were there!!! I want one!!!! Soooooo adorable and fluffy!!!!
ReplyDeleteha ha you really think it's great dina? it's just me ranting... oh. I get it. It's me ranting :P which is "so much Dawn" :P
ReplyDeletealso I *thought* you'd like the bunnies! :)
Second from the bottom is the single most adorable thing I've ever seen. That is all.
ReplyDeleteagain. you're welcome
ReplyDeleteGuess who had a white chocolate rabbit waiting on her bed when she got home... Awws... Easter bunny found me!
