A gassy day

Hello ladies, I hope your week is starting better than mine!

you know I woke up this morning and things weren't bad! I was a little sad that it was snowing and cold out again after the beautiful weekend and slightly annoyed that one ear is plugged like no-body's business. Thank you tiny chickens.
Other than that things were ok, I only have one class on Monday and it's one I really like.

I went to class and enjoyed it, then at the end I check my phone to find a text from one of my pod-mates saying " Do you know if they're testing the alarms again, or should I get outta here?"
I say they tested the alarms on Friday so I really doubt they'd do it again today.
I leave my class and walk back towards rez where I run into said pod-mate and she proceeds to inform me that the construction workers hit a gas pipe and about 4 of the rez buildings had been evacuated.

I met up with some friends from the floor over in the UniCentre and we had food and chatted and waited.
about an hour and 15 min later we were informed that it was safe to go back in. It still kinda smells like gas which worries me (did I mention the windows in this building don't open?),  but I think it's quite the adventure for the Pants ( which yes, I am wearing today)

I can't wait to have a house next year....

  1. I love how your pod mate's first response to the alarm was to text you for advice on what do to. We are so desensitized to alarms in residence it is ridiculous! I think half of us would be burnt to a crisp if anything ever actually did happen.

Glad you weren't stuck out of your building for too long, but that really sucks about the smell and the lack of window opening capabilities.
