Hey ladies!
...I think that the exclamation point might be a bit much this morning as I'm still very sleepy.
Zzzzzzzz...
ZzzzzzZzzzzz...
ZzzzzzZzzzZzzzzzz...
*snorts*sits up* What? Oh yeah, I'm writing a blog.
The past few days have been pretty busy as I had two midterms this week, one on Monday and te second this morning at 8:30. *yawns* I've got two more enormous midterms next week so the fun is just going to continue. I can't wait for reading week.
Before my exam today there were two girls beside me who were talking about their STAT class and saying "I think they should, like, just take one mark off if we ask them for a formula and they give it to us because, like, as soon as I have the formula I'm like, I totally know what I'm doing, ya know?" And in my head I was all "OMG YOU ACTUALLY NEEDCONTEXT IN YOUR LIFE OTHERWISE A BASIC CALCULATOR IS SMARTER THAN YOU!!!"
*sighs* Sometimes people are morons...
So yesterday, as mildly indicated by the title of this post, myself and my lab partners discovered unequivocally that there is, in fact, more than one way to skin a cat but by far the best way is to make a little scalple incision, widen that strategically with a pair of scissors and then just yank on it. Feels a bit like ripping fabric to be honest. Rather strange that. Ah well... I think my lab partners and I did a fairly good job and Gladys, the cat, will be in great shape or next week. Lots of morbid humour was shared. A few gross out moments were had. Ethical discussion ensued. Complaints over smell were abundant but somehow it was all done and I got to go home a little early and wash said stench off me. HUZZAH for not smelling like dead cat!
Well, it is now time for the class that my friends and I lovingly refer to as a mental break so I'd better go.
Have a good one ladies,
Dina
Sleepy Dina is funny :P
ReplyDeleteGlad you had... fun? ... being all sciencey. gotta love science!
Mental break as in your mind is at ease or mental break as in resulting in a psychological disorder of some kind??
ReplyDeleteI just acted as the 'nurse' (as in Michele said pass me the {whatever tool} and I would pass it) in Grade 11 Bio when we had to do that rat... I could never start cutting up an animal I actually liked so all the power to you sleepy D!
Both of the above. Sometimes supremely boring and sometimes bordering on insane. It's bizarre.
DeleteBeing sciencey is always fun, especially when dissections are involved. XD
ReplyDeleteSciency is definitely fun but I would say the especially belongs with studying reproductive behavior :P
Deletelmao. but then some behaviours are not reproductive...
Deletebut lab coats could be used, for an added bonus ;p
You obviously haven't had a dissection lab yet... I don't want that thing anywhere near me while I engage in quasi-reproductive behaviors that don't actually involve reproducing :S I think I'll stick with my leather and handcuffs ;)
Delete*awkward turtle*
Deletesounds good to me... i dibs the cuffs ;)
Deletesorry Valerie... =P
It has been a long time since someone said sorry for making me awkward turtle. I like it Rae! Usually efforts are made to make it worse, haha!
Deletehmm. i was going to say something to make it worse, but i'll pass this time. :p
DeleteDAMNIT DINA/RAE would you two just snog and get it over with! I'm Sorry, you're just too damn perfect.
