"well aren't you sophisticeeep! squirrel!"
A real quotation said by the lovely Valerie.
Hey Ladies! so I just thought I'd share some thoughts!
It's spring! quickly turning to summer! The sun is shining and burned me a little bit today. Silly me! Time to break out the sunscreen! SPF people, it's your new best friend!
Today I hung out with Valerie - as you probably figured out already. I went over to her place and was greeted enthusiastically by her mom. :) We had to look at all the photos from last friday. There are even MORE than what we've seen! crazy beans eh? also her mom has all this insight and comments on the photos.
* CHEESE WARNING *
in one of the photos of the Ginger and I we're looking at each other and smiling. I jokingly commented " it looks like he actually likes me" to which V's mom said " Look at him, you can't fake a look like that "
D'awwww
*end of cheese*
anyways after looking at photos we decided it was a postivly GORGEOUS day so we went for a walk in the park! we sat on some rocks by the stream (with my feet in the water, go figure) and talked. It was fun to just chill. Also I learned something about Valerie today! (which apparently Dina already knew. Geez. way to show me up :P )
We're walking along the path and I'm chattering away when I hear a noise.. not a meep, just the sounds of movement, like a rustle... and I look over to see Valerie teetering on one foot with her other foot and arms pulled close to her body.
D: ..?
V: Snake.
D: What?
V: there's a snake!
D: where?
V: There.
D: I don't see it.
V: *points*
D: dude, it's a garter snake.
V: It's still a snake!
D: it's teeny!
V: I don't like snakes
D: want me to pick it up?
V: NO!
the snake left and we kept walking but I didn't let it go easily.
D: so... why are you afraid of snakes?
V: It could bite me!
D: Garter snakes don't bite people, they run away.
V: but it's scaly and slithery
D: *Facepalm*
anyways that was funny :P also later we were walking and I think we were talking about chivalry. Anyways I did or said something to which Valerie responded with " aren't you sophisticeeeep!" ( yes, the transition was really that good) all because of a squirrel. It startled her apparently :P
anyways it was a good day!
starting planning for b-day week. I think we're all in for laser tag, anyone also wanna have a picnic? like in sundresses sitting in a field blowing bubbles and chatting and stuff???
love you all!
I did know that Valerie was scared of snakes. I found out when we got to the second year part of Lego Harry Potter (possibly one of the most hilariously fun games ever made) and she would "eep!" and cringe everytime I had to speak parseltongue.
ReplyDelete...
It's a lego snake, on a TV screen, in a video game...
I was amused.
Would this be an opportune time to mention that I absolutely adore parseltongue kinks in fanfictions? I think so! I feel like that made the experience even funnier.
Speaking of Lego HP there were a few other funny things that happened while I was playing it with Valerie. Namely, because I love parseltongue and Valerie is afraid of snakes I was almost always playing as Harry so whenever we came upon Draco Malfoy (which we quite often did) I would run up to him (as Harry) and make smooching sound effects which caused Valerie twitch and make exasperated noises.
I giggled a lot. :P
oooooooh man the one fic where Harry talks Parseltongue infront of everyone? SOOO GOOOOD. It is a good kink I agree.
ReplyDeleteYou told me about the lego HP but it's still funny!!
For anyone else who's reading these and who wants to read what we're talking about:
ReplyDeleteCorruptela Vox by Constant Vigilance
http://www.thehexfiles.net/viewstory.php?sid=253
With that author's name in my head I just see Mad Eye bursting in on the two snogging (yeah, as far as my mind willingly goes, and it is still a stretch) and barking 'constant vigilance!!!' throwing them a condom, then leaving, with 'the mood' thoroughly killed.
ReplyDeleteAnd really why you were always Harry was because you were player 1 and that defaults to Harry more often than not.
Anyways... Yes, I dislike snakes... Something about the way they move just sends the jitters up my spine. I have very rarely actually seen them though, so maybe that was part of the reason for my lovely freeze frame. Minimal exposure.
Dawn asked me why I stood like that, and well... My excuse was that way I presented a smaller target. When Dawn suggested that she grab it I instead grabbed her and started dragging her down the path where she inquired as to the stupidity of facebook before going on about that little slytherer... *shudders*
As to the squirrel, it jumped out of a bush towards me from the angle I was looking at. A fluffy critter emerging from nowhere is enough to elicit an 'eep' from me... Especially since my nerves were a little edgy from their snake encounter.
And NO SUN DRESS!!!! I was in a dress for you ladies last week, I will not repeat this soon... At least I would REALLY rather not.
At the Mad Eye comment:
ReplyDeleteBAHAHAHAHAHA!! Soooo good! With our boys nothing that simple can kill the mood. They'd be back to snogging within a few minutes and then more. ;)
So jumped everytime a snake popped out for me to talk to when we were playing and made your character run the other way. It was hilarious!
That picnic sounds lovely to me, Dawn.
Still more mental images I don't want in my head... Though I guess that is partially my fault in some twisted way. But it is still your fault somehow Dina.
ReplyDeleteI am scared of snakes. I admit it fully, utterly and completely and am not ashamed of it. I kept Hermione safe from the nasty lego snakes, as I myself you like to be kept in a real life situation. Hope you can still love me Dina! ;)
And the rest of the picnic sounds great to me too!
So I am kind of sad that we seem to have lost all the comments on this post...
ReplyDeletecause there were lots! about lego HP and drarry and fun things
ReplyDeleteI know! And now it is coming up as the most recent post! What the heck is going on here?!
ReplyDeleteIt's all back now! Yay for Drarry and parselsmut!
ReplyDeleteYay for Blogger fixing all the bugs! I am glad this discussion is back, and I enjoyed reading it all again.
